Easy Web Site Content

Well, after all the discussion about website content, someone asked me a question.  “How do you know what to write?”    Like anyone else I sometimes get writer’s block.  There are days when I do not have a clue to write, but I do know where to look.

Where to look for web site content ideas.

The easiest way to find free website content is by asking questions. When you start asking and looking for questions you can find all the content you need to fill your blog. By changing your perspective from finding content to finding questions, ideas will be plentiful. Each post or article can be an answer to a question.

Question:  How do I know what questions to answer?

When you started in your niche, you did not know a lot about the topic. It probably was quite a while later you started your website after you had learned quite a few lessons about the niche and gained a bit of experience. Yet, you can remember when you started. When you started in your niche what questions did you have? What do you wish someone what had told you?

Finding more questions and TRAFFIC!

Look on forums. See where people are having problems, what questions people are asking. When you write your website content you might even use that question or one very similar. You can even build your traffic by answering that question on your website and going back to the forum and recommending your blog post.   This works with any question, when some asks something related to your post, point the way!

You have content and visitors! WIN-WIN!

  1. Cool-O-Matic!I love this approach (especially the “easy” part) :-) Just recently I decided to join the Mom Blog Network – made sense since my target audience is Single Mom Entrepreneurs! Exploring the forum there will now be on my daily business building activities list. I'm heading into this with a “giving” spirit and I'll be looking for any and all questions that I can answer for members.Awesome tip!Melanie

  2. Thanks for the helpful tips of how to get past blogger/writer's block!Evelyn(#blog30)

I had never thought about how I come up with my blog posts. But the blog backup and recovery series was started because someone asked me how to recover their blog. Then someone asked me about comments, which lead me to changing to Disqus. And finally when I thought I was done with the content series, someone asked where do you come up with content. Suddenly I realized I was answering questions almost all of #blog30. Strange World. But hopefully Melanie this weird rambling reply will help you in knowing what to look for on your Mom Blog Network and forum searches.~ MJ

If you look for questions you'll be surprised how many there are. The next post “One Question Means Multiple Blog Posts and Content Creation” Evelyn will help you even more. (Plus you can always look back on old posts and think about different angles.~MJ

  5. I love your story, MJ!! And, yes, it's a strange world and it's getting a little stranger every day. :-) But, who cares? We're having fun.I can clearly see how one thing led to another and then to another … just by answering questions people threw your way.Works for me!Melanie
