Video Blogging without a Video Camera

Perhaps you think if you do not have a video camera that you are out of luck on producing and adding video to your blog. This is far from the case. There are plenty of alternatives that allow you to create video.

Slide shows: You can use a program to create a slide show from your pictures. Use your own voice or music to create your unique video.

Photo Albums: There are programs you can use to create a video recording of an album you make with program. (Similar to slide show but the programs are typically called photo albums.  SmileBox is a fun one that I use.)

Testimonials: Ask your customers and clients to create video testimonials.   Happy customers talking about your products is a great video to add to your website.

Record your screen: For instructional videos you can record your screen.  You may even find other ways to use videos from your screen.

Public domain: Look for videos on the public domain that you can alter, add your own words or make work for you.

Below is a slide show version for you to see how I made a video without my voice or video camera!

  1. This is so cool, MJ. I’m glad you included the video as well as it clearly demonstrates what you mentioned in your post. Very interesting way to add video without using a video camera. Thanks for the article and video. Yvonne

Thanks for the great info, MJ! This is a great solution for those that are nervous about speaking and being on the video themselves! Thanks Again!

      Jaime,
Visit again on Saturday, you’ll love the video that will be shown that day. That video alone may make you feel more comfortable. :) But yes, there are some some great slide show and other ways to create a video without speaking! You can also trade work, and have someone else do your talking and you do some work for them.

    Yvonne,
So glad it helps. I knew just saying without doing wasn’t going to be a good representation. Tomorrow will have some free tools.
